jessie – Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of jessie. By creating an account or using jessie, you agree to these Terms.
1) The Service
jessie is a to-do app that lets you capture tasks by voice, by sharing content into the app, and from emails you forward to your personal jessie address. Features may change over time.
2) Beta / Changes
Parts of jessie may be offered as a beta. You understand that beta features may be incomplete or change, and you accept this risk. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice where feasible. During the closed beta, jessie is distributed through Apple TestFlight; Apple's TestFlight terms apply to your participation in addition to these Terms.
3) Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old, able to enter a binding contract, and comply with these Terms. You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Keep your device and login secure.
4) Your jessie email address
jessie can give you a private inbound address (like u_…@in.getjessie.app). Emails sent or forwarded to that address are processed to create tasks for you. jessie never accesses your mailbox — only what arrives at your jessie address is processed. Treat the address like a credential: anyone who knows it can send content into your task list, and you can rotate or disable it in the app. Only forward emails you have the right to share with us.
5) Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by: attempting to breach security; interfering with others' use; reverse engineering clients or APIs except as permitted by law; sending spam or unlawful content to jessie addresses; or violating applicable laws.
6) Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you add (e.g. to-dos, notes, forwarded emails). You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit the content you add.
7) Subscriptions & Fees
(If applicable) Pricing, billing cycles, trials, and cancellation terms will be shown at purchase. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Where required, statutory rights to withdraw apply.
8) Third-Party Services
The Service depends on third-party providers (e.g. hosting, sign-in, AI, and email-delivery infrastructure; see the Privacy Policy for the current list). We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control. Your use of those services may be subject to their terms.
9) Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. By using jessie, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
10) Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
11) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, jessie and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service shall not exceed CHF 100 or the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater.
12) Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless jessie and its operators from claims arising from your misuse of the Service or breach of these Terms.
13) Termination
You may stop using jessie at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create risks, or cause harm. Provisions that by nature should survive (e.g. privacy, IP, limits of liability) will survive termination.
14) Governing Law & Venue
These Terms are governed by Swiss law (excluding conflict-of-law rules). Exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zürich, Switzerland, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
15) Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (e.g. in-app or by email). Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
